Hi there! I often surf the web and social media for recipes and websites that offer information on different kinds of food intolerance. Here is a list of pages that I keep referring to for their great resources and tips on handling problems with ingredients like gluten and additives like glutamates.

  1. Dealing with allergies: Allergist is the official website of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. It has information on different types of allergies, including food, insect stings, drugs, dust allergies and so on. The website also has an “Ask the allergist” feature for reader questions. There are interesting articles, the latest ones on autumn and increasing susceptibility to allergies. I found a lot of information on wheat allergy and asthma and also came to know that wheat allergy is different from gluten intolerance.
  2. For advice on gluten free foods: The Celiac Disease Foundation’s website is another rich resource for information on managing gluten intolerance. The website has a special page on gluten-free living, which includes tips, recipes and advice for people with gluten intolerance.
  3. Tips from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): This website has a lot of resources and information on eating in a way that promotes the body’s Qi. It also offers a sample meal plan and tips on general health for men and women.
  4. Dr. Axe: This website has great recipes and offers alternative ingredients for different kinds of food sensitivity. I first got the idea of replacing wheat with sweet potato in my cakes and desserts from this website. It also has loads of information on substitutes for refined sugar, which I personally find extremely useful. The format is user-friendly and its about page suggests the presence of a friendly team behind the project.

That’s it for now. If you know of any other websites that have resources on food intolerance, please write in your comments below!
